*FROST 2006- Contemporary Furniture + Accessory Exhibit

For the month of January 2006, the 3rd annual FROST exhibit brought together designers from Edmonton, Vancouver, Calgary, and beyond to provide visitors a unique opportunity to view and purchase innovative, original products as well as interact with the up-and-comers of Edmonton's vibrant design community.

The objective of this exhibit was to explore the relationship between the designer and the end user. With a new angle, we created a persona, Jorge Harzinger, to be the inspiration behind all products showcased. Designs were based on interpretations of his personality and lifestyle with the intention to envision him as the consumer or end user. We asked the question: “What would Jorge buy”?

FROST 2006 was our most published and cohesive show to date. Boasting entries from around the world, Portugal, Brazil, Israel, New Zealand and us. We were fortunate this year to have a special guest designer Rodrigo Leao from Sao Paulo, Brazil who participated in the show, attended our reception, and spent time with the IDEA group.
