Through the support from volunteers, an exciting partnership with the Works Visual Arts Society and with the support of local sponsors, the association hosts two major seasonal exhibits: *THAW and *FROST.

As part of the annual Works Art and Design Festival, *THAW is a summer exhibition of innovative furniture, lighting, and accessories. The largest of the two shows, *THAW exhibits prototypes and finished works from students to more established designers.

Every winter season, *FROST attempts to educate the public and explore the design process with a smaller scaled and more focused exhibit. By introducing a design theme or limitation IDEA works to instigate collaborations between designers and industry, students and educational institutions, and more.

IDEA shows touches on such design issues as sustainability, target market, the human factor and collaborative dynamics.
